Oh sing to the Lord a new song;

Sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Sing to the Lord,bless his name;

tell of his salvation from day to day.

Declare his glory among the nations,

his marvelous works among all the peoples!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;

he is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 96:1-4

I thought I would post something, but I really don't know what to say. For most of you who know me, I know that is hard for you to believe.  Anyways, I want to see how everyone is doing instead.

SO...... How is everyone doing? How is life? What have you been up to? Tell me something please.

Hope everyone has a GREAT week! God bless you!

Also, can someone please tell me how to put pictures on a post. I haven't figured that out yet. Thanks! I really appreciate it!

      Hey everyone! How is it going? I know what you are thinking..... Sorry that it has been so long since I have responded. There is no reason for it. Please forgive this nonsocial female..... Please forgive me!

          My hubby and I are going this weekend to Kansas. Daniel will be preaching to the youth on Saturday night. Then he will preach to the whole church that Sunday morning. Would you all please pray for Daniel? We would really appreciate it.

     Things have been going great. Work is as fun as always. I love the people I work with at Smokehouse. They were so sweet to me last week when we had a death in the family. Oh, Rachel is working up there now. And I must say that she is doing a great job for never serving before! Love you, girl!  Daniel and I are about to get new schedules for school and work. It will happen when school starts. I will be working days only at Smokehouse, and he will be having more of his nights free.That is such a blessing. God has been so great to Daniel and I. I fail to realize that the majority of the time. I am a very spoiled person. I should praise His name for all that He has done for us. But most important, I should praise God and Him alone every second of  the day. Please pray for me. God has been doing some things in my life lately. Thank you very much!

 Everyone have a great day and week. And remember.... " I'll be back!" (yes, it is a corny movie phrase!) =0)

....... Many of you all have asked me the question, "How is married life going?" I hope all of those different facial expressions show you I have felt the past couple of weeks! It has been simply been wonderful! I have been blessed with the most patient, kind, funny, Godminded husband. lol... Did I forget to mention that he is hot too?  I have been praying since I was a little girl that God would send me a husband who completes me. And I got it. Plus more!!! If you feel that I have been way to sappy so far than please stop reading. lol.. Cause here comes some more! I promise I will stop after this too! Here is a lil' story I would like to share...

      For the majority of you that know me really well, you know that my Papa (grandpa) played a huge role in my life. I lived with them during my teenage years. He became more a second father than a grandpa.He died when I was a junior in high school. I took it really hard, but I have many wonderful memories to remember him by!  He was a wonderful Christian man who told you his opinion  or advice whenever he thought you needed to hear it. lol...He was right the majority of the time too. Well, one day he and I were sitting in front of the TV eating breakfast. I was watching tv and he was reading The Trumpet. (It is a baptist newspaper that he was editor of for many years.) He just randomly made the comment that there was this 16 yr. old boy named Daniel G. who was just licensed to preach.  He said he thought highly of him and his family. I was a little shocked about this because Papa never really made comments like that. But the statement that caught me off guard the most was, "Nikki, I think that he would make a good husband for you someday!"

Those words never really left me because like I said, Papa has never made that comment about any guy that I had ever dated. He met all of them too. Papa did have the right opinion about Daniel.  He was so right that I feel like God let him say that for me to think about in my future. I will treasure that moment that I had with my grandpa. That is a memory that I will never forget as long as I live.

That story makes me think of the well known passage,

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans of wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."  (Jeremiah 29:11)

Thank you all for the prayers and friendships that you have shown to me throughout my life. It was great seeing all of you at the wedding. For the ones who couldn't make it, I understand. I really would like to say that it meant a lot to me that my friends that I have not seen since graduation night came to see us get hitched! Thanks guys!

I know this has been a long entry and thanks for taking the time to read it.  I promise that next time I will not try to be so mushy! But all I was trying to tell you all is: MARRIAGE IS GREAT and that I'm very blessed to have Daniel for my husband!
